Dr. Sarah Kim, OD

Sarah hails from  Edmonton, Alberta, but has spent most of her life in Calgary, Alberta. She obtained a French bilingual high school diploma before graduating from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. Shortly thereafter, she went on to pursue a Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) in Fullerton, California and graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors.

At SCCO, she was highly involved with several on-campus initiatives, such as serving as the president of the BSK National Optometric Honor Society, serving as the Vice President of the National Optometric Student Association (NOSA), and engaging in various volunteer programs.

While at SCCO, Dr. Kim was exposed to several facets of optometry, including ocular disease, specialty contact lenses and pediatric optometry. Across her multiple externships, she treated various ocular diseases at the Southern Nevada Veteran Affairs Hospital and HuHuKam hospital. As a result, she gained invaluable experience treating and managing various cases of retinal, corneal and systemic diseases, in addition to specialized pediatric care.

Sarah is currently an active member of the Alberta College of Optometrists, Alberta Association of Optometrists, Calgary Society of Optometrists, and Canadian Association of Optometrists. She is very excited to be back in Calgary and is looking forward to pursue her passion providing eye care for underserved populations.
